CNG stations to remain closed today

Express May 07, 2010

KARACHI: CNG stations in Sindh and Balochistan were closed for 24 hours on Friday in a bid to save energy.

The move is in line with the Government's energy saving plan to cope with the power crisis. As per orders, CNG stations were closed at noon.

CNG dealers in Balochistan have asserted that closing at noon means losing two days business. Closing at 6 am on Friday till 6am on Saturday morning would have been a better idea they said.

Forty-two CNG stations in Hyderabad along with a 100 other CNG stations in adjoining areas have been closed.
