Uniting for a cause: KUTS protests Indian atrocities in Kashmir

KARACHI: Chanting slogans against the Indian army, around 50 people including teachers, employees and students staged a protest against the atrocities in Kashmir.

Organised by the Karachi University Teachers Society (Kuts), the protest was held at the University of Karachi on Tuesday.

Holding banners against the brutality of the Indian army in Kashmir, the protesters walked in a form of a rally from the administration block till Azadi Chowk.

Criticising the role of the Indian government, Kuts president Dr Shakeel Farooqi remarked that the local people in Karachi have been blinded and paralysed by the Indian army.

He also mentioned that people are protesting all over the world and condemning the brutal atrocities of the Indian state. "Their parliament should stand out and protest in favour of the innocent people," he said, adding that Kuts felt it their responsibility to bring the issue in the limelight.
