Training: Rescue 1122 delegation leaves for UK

LAHORE:  

A six-member Rescue 1122 team has been sent to the United Kingdom to receive training to deal with emergencies related to Orange Line Metro Train once it becomes operational.

The training has been organised by Hanzala Malik, a member of the Scottish parliament, as part of cooperation between the city governments of Lahore and Glasgow.

This was stated by Rescue 1122 Director General Brig (r) Dr Arshad Zia at a departmental meeting on Saturday.

The delegation comprises Emergency Officer Shahid Waheed Qamer, Rescue and Safety Officer Muhammad Azam, Emergency Medical Technician Naeemur Rehman, Fire Rescuer Amjad Khan and Muhammad Jahangir. The team will be headed by Lahore District Emergency Officer Dr Ahmad Raza.
