A high-level Chinese trade delegation from the China Asia Economic Development Association visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) on Monday, to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan.
The delegation was led by Qian Chui Zhou, President for Overseas Trade of the Association, accompanied by representatives from the Development Committee and various other organisations.
The SIFC officials extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided a comprehensive briefing on the industrial growth potential, investment prospects, and key features of Pakistan's economic landscape.
The delegation expressed strong interest in investing in various sectors, including industry, banking, defence, energy, agriculture, livestock, aquaculture, and healthcare.
The delegation also conveyed confidence in the SIFC's role in facilitating foreign investment in Pakistan, acknowledging its efforts to streamline investment processes.
The visit is expected to enhance the business-to-business and government-to-business collaboration between China and Pakistan, further strengthening the economic ties between the two nations.
