Miscarriage: Woman seeks FIR against in-laws

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Misri Shah SHO on a plea filed by a woman seeking an FIR against her in-laws for causing her miscarriage. Asma Bibi said she had married Shahid in 2014. “My husband started demanding money from me. He used to beat me up when I refused. He sent me to my parents’ house when I became pregnant. A few months ago, I went back to my husband’s house to collect my valuables but I found that my jewellery was stolen. When I asked my in-laws about it, they beat me up. I miscarried,” she said.
