KARACHI: More than three dozen workers and activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Karachi division joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Wednesday. Addressing a press conference at the PPP Media Cell, Senator Saeed Ghani said those party leaders who [some time ago] had left the PPP would also be rejoining soon. “This shows that the PPP’s popularity is soaring each day and activists of various parties have reposed trust and confidence in it,” he said. Talking about the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, he alleged the federal government is using state machinery to rig the July 21 polls. “The federal government is doling out development funds now to influence Kashmiris. This is pre-poll rigging,” he claimed. He added that the PPP would contest all 41 seats without the support of any party or group.
