As violence continues to escalate in Indian-occupied Kashmir with at least 32 dead, one heartbreaking image of a classified ads page from a Kashmiri daily speaks volumes about how life in the disputed valley has come to a halt.

Violence erupted in the area after Indian security forces killed prominent Kashmiri separatist leader Bhurhan Wani last Friday. Since then at least 32 people – mostly civilians – have been killed in the region and a curfew is in place for the fourth consecutive day.

Mustafa Kashmiri | 8 years ago | Reply Pakistanis and their government should reflect they being responsible in inciting religious hatred and violence by supporting militants being the primary reason for depriving Kashmiris with prosperity. The everyday disruptions as pointed out in the classifieds can be reduced if Pakistanis stop interfering in India's internal affairs. And due to similar policies being followed in Afghanistan by Pakistan, now USA is also pointing at Pakistan as the major reason for these chaos around the region.
