Road safety : ‘Stunt performers’ granted bails
The court granted them bail on furnishing Rs30,000 surety bonds each
LAHORE:
More than two dozen men were granted bail by a magistrate on Sunday. Ravi Road, Shahdra, Muslim Town, Nawab Town, Gulberg, Ghalib Market, Ichhra police produced the men before a magistrate’s court after they were picked up for doing road stunts. Their counsel said they had been wrongly implicated. They said their clients had been illegally detained. Police denied this, saying the men had been brought to the court after an FIR had been registered against them. After hearing the arguments, the court granted them bail on furnishing Rs30,000 surety bonds each.
