Miscellaneous: Two looted; car stolen; injured cop dies

RAWALPINDI: At least two persons have been looted in different incidents while a car was stolen and an injured policeman died in different incidents in Rawalpindi.

In the first incident, Muhammad Bashir, a barbar by profession, lodged a complaint with the local police that Gulu Shahzad and his sons barged into his room at night and made off with Rs100,000, a cell phone and other valuables. The complainant told the police that the intruders also hit him with a club when he resisted them.

In another incident, Dost Muhammad lodged a complaint with the Naserabad police that unidentified thieves have lifted his car (IDJ-3960) from the porch of his house.  Muhammad Qadri, a poultry farm owner,  lodged a case with the same police that his clerk Murshid has stolen Rs300,000 from his office while he was out. According to the complainant, his other employee Zeshan told him about the theft soon after he returned to the office from field.

In yet another incident, Sajad Hussain lodged a complaint with the Murree police that unidentified thieves have stolen eight UPS batteries from the warehouse of a cellular company after locking his room.

Meanwhile, Naseer Mehmood lodged a comapolint with the Kahuta police that Amir and his accomplices waylaid him while he was returning from work and hit him with clubs and a dagger and seriously injured hi. The assailants fled the scene while leaving him in a pool of blood.  The police have registered cases and started investigations.

Meanwhile, a policeman, who was admitted to a local hospital after he met a fatal accident while going home in Mianwali, died at the hospital on Saturday evening. The policeman, identified as Abdur Rehman along with four policemen was on way to their native town when their car skidded off the road and hit a wall, seriously injuring all of them.
