PESHAWAR: At least seven people died while four others were injured in separate incidents in Shinkiari in Mansehra, and Kohat. According to a statement issued by a spokesperson of Provincial Disaster Management Authority, one person died while two others were injured due to cloud burst in Shinkiari.
The incident occurred in Timri village. Separately, a girl died and two others were injured in a roof collapse incident in Kamar Dhand village, Kohat on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Iqra. Gul Kalam and Tajwar were wounded during the incident. The injured were rushed to the hospital in a critical condition.
On the other hand, five members of a family reportedly drowned near Kandar Dam, Kohat.
A family went to a picnic spot when the incident occurred. A child’s foot slipped and he drowned. Four of his relatives tried to save him and jumped into the water. A PDMA spokesperson said all four of them drowned. He added rescue teams recovered bodies of all five people.
