GUJRANWALA: The Education Department issued a letter to the Gujranwala district administration on Tuesday instructing them to demolish 150 derelict school buildings in the district.  The letter says that the primary and high school buildings will be rebuilt.

The letter was issued to the Buildings Department.

The derelict schools identified in the letter include: Government Higher Secondary School Aimenabad, Government Girls High School Khotray Kalan, Government Girls High School Rahwali, Government High School Rasoolnagar, Government High School Model Town, Government High School Peoples Colony Gujranwala, Government AD Model School Gujranwala, Government High School Abdal, Government High School Hameedpur Kalan, Government High School Rahwali, Government High School Sikhana Bajwa, Government High School Botalah Sharam Singh and Government Primary School Dheerwala.

The letter says that these schools were derelict and could pose a risk to the students and teachers. The Education EDO has issued a letter to the Buildings Department to prepare a feasibility report in this regard.
