Manhandling traffic police: PCG staff to face ‘strict action’

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Sunday promised to take stringent action against Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) personnel who recently manhandled Karachi traffic police wardens. According to traffic police, its staff had lifted two wrongly parked motorcycles from the busy shopping hub of Zaibunnisa Street on Saturday. The PCG staff instead of paying due penalty, attacked the traffic section and thrashed the traffic wardens. Karachi traffic police has decided to file a case against the PCG which falls under the interior ministry. Nisar taking note of the incident said strict action would be taken against the errant personnel.
