What does Eid mean to you?

Eid, to me, means reminding myself to be grateful for the countless blessings I have. It reminds me to truly cherish my family and friends.

How do you celebrate Eid with your little one?

Zoay and I travel to Karachi where her grandparents and my parents are based. We spend as much quality time with them as possible. We have a lot of relatives  there, and Zoay loves being surrounded by all the children and my cousins.

What does Eid mean to you?

Eid is a huge celebration after a month of fasting, and as a family we love rewarding ourselves. We go shopping and give lots of gifts to our loved ones.

How do you celebrate Eid with your little one?

It’s tradition for me to take Ilsa to apply mehndi and go bangle shopping on Chand Raat.

What does Eid mean to you?

Eid is the one celebration in the year that is the most exciting for kids. It’s a time dedicated to family, food, festivities and lots of love!

How do you celebrate Eid with your little one?

The build-up to Eid is probably the most exciting for children. For me, it’s always hectic with work, but I give it my best and then look forward to the holidays and spending time with family. On Chand Raat we always take the kids out, it’s a ritual. But Eid morning is the most anticipated as that’s the day the Eidi starts pouring in! We all loved this tradition as kids and of course it is still one of the best parts of the festive day. It’s the spirit of reward, sharing and giving that is, in essence, the joy of Eid.
