The style-savvy publicist shares the fashion rules she abides by, giving us a few tips along the way on how to conceal troublesome areas

Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage

How would you describe your body type?

As odd as it may sound, there’s no way to define my body type as it is constantly changing. I really should join the gym as soon as possible!

Has your body type changed over the last five years?

Thankfully I’ve lost the ‘freshman 15’, which I never saw coming when I first began university. I’m gradually going back to how my body used to be – relatively fitter!

How has your style changed over the years?

I have stuck to the same style over the last five to six years, which was to keep it simple and accessorise when necessary, often with a few favourite rings and arm cuffs. Recently I’ve started to love the idea of wearing a sari and I prefer sporting it at formal events.

In your opinion, what is your most troublesome area?

I can’t really point out a particular area. I see many due to the fact that I’ve become a bit lazy — it’s time for a change!

How do you dress your body according to your body type?

I’d say I stick to boyfriend jeans or shalwars paired with flowy tops. With these ensembles, none of my troublesome areas are highlighted, and it’s the most practical thing to wear due to the rising temperatures as well. The only (relatively) fitted item I like wearing is a blazer in the cooler months.

In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing here?

Looking like a bunch of mismatched and unflattering brands threw up on them.

What silhouettes suit your body the most?

Flowy tops and light fabrics! I’ve embraced wearing abayas too, which in my opinion are comfortable and classy.

What is the one piece of clothing that you shy away from wearing and why?

Anything uber-tight! It’s painful and I simply cannot breathe in tight clothes.
