MQM MNA Kishwar Zehra’s car snatched at gunpoint in Karachi

The minister was reportedly not present in the car at the time of the snatching

The car of a Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member National Assembly (MNA) was snatched at gunpoint in Karachi's Gulshan-e-Iqbal neighbourhood on Monday.

Kishwar Zehra's car was stopped near Bait-ul-Mukarram mosque and and taken away by unknown gunmen.

According to Aziz Bhatti police, the minister was not present in the car at the time of the snatching.

MQM senator Nasreen Jalil's guard among two shot dead in Karachi

On April 4, a security guard of MQM leader Nasreen Jalil was gunned down along with two others when when they were on their way from Sakhi Hasan to Nagan Chowrangi.

Further, on the same day, assailants opened fire on MQM MNA Raza Ali Abidi near party’s sector office in Lines Area. The lawmaker, however, remained safe in the attack.

Security forces, mainly paramilitary Rangers, have been engaged in an operation since September 5, 2013 to root out crime and terrorism from the metropolis.
