Talking about her association, she stated, “I’m talking to people like me and my tribe. Also I’m a big movie buff. I watch one movie at least once a week, so I can understand people who like watching films and I am talking to them.” The channel is slated to be launched with the TV premiere of Oscar-winning film Spotlight in July.
Known to be one of the few outspoken people of the film industry, Zoya was the latest celebrity to criticise superstar Salman Khan, after he compared himself with a raped woman when quizzed about the gruelling shooting of Sultan. The 43-year-old director said it is up to Salman to decide whether he wants to apologise or not, reported The Indian Express. “Everybody has reacted in their own right. I think the comments shouldn’t have been made. But, I can’t be the one to decide if he should apologise or shouldn’t, it is up to him,” said Zoya.
