Wanted persons Four suspects held on human trafficking charges

All the arrested persons have been shifted to the anti-human trafficking cell, for further investigation

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has intensified its drive against human traffickers. As part of this campaign, FIA teams arrested four suspected human smugglers on Wednesday from Dina, Mangla and other areas, said a press release.

The arrested persons are wanted for human smuggling and other crimes, it said.

Dr Waqas who was wanted to FIA since 2010 was arrested in a raid in Mangla.

The FIA also detained Qari Zafarullah who has been wanted since 2012.

Meanwhile, Ghazanfar was arrested from Dina in Jhelum District, whose name was included in the red book of human traffickers.

The FIA arrested Khawaja Waheed, in a raid conducted in Al-Kausar Hotel in Dina, and confiscated nine passports from his possession.

He was involved in defrauding people of millions of rupees,
under false pretence of helping them immigrate to Britain.

All the arrested persons have been shifted to the anti-human trafficking cell, for further investigation.
