Mandi Bahauddin based labourer Inayatullah’s family, was being illegally detained at a brick kiln by the owners of the kiln as ‘punishment’ for not carrying out their duties properly.
Police officials said that they recovered Inyatullah and his wife Sakeena Bibi, Zahra Bibi (23) Kiran Islam (5), Ghulam Fareed (18), Naveed
Bilal (17) Ghulam Abbas (14), Samar Ali (8) and Abdul Rehman
(7) from the kiln. “The entire family, including the children work at the kiln and apparently they had not been able to make the required daily quota,” said police inspector Rana, adding that the kiln owners had tied the family up with rope in the basement.
On a tip off, police raided the location and recovered the family. Police officials have registered a case against the brick kiln owner but he has escaped.
