The army chief held an interactive session in Koerber Foundation, a renowned German think tank in Berlin, added the statement.
“General Raheel explained in detail the challenges faced by Pakistan and contribution towards peace and stability in the region.”
The army chief, the military's media wing said, informed the German foreign minister Pakistan was successfully closing up to the conclusion of military Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
“Have cleared entire Fata up to borders, also busted their linkages and networks.”
Support of international community sought
The COAS also sought support of the international community in Pakistan’s efforts to eradicate terrorism.
“Moving beyond this critical stage will require greater understanding and support of International community. We have sacrificed immensely, more than any other nation. World needs to stand by us till dividends are fully realised,” he said.
