Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui said, “In these busy times, most of us have abandoned the habit of reading books, but we also forget the fact that the basis of a visionary and knowledge-based society is the habit of reading books. They open new doors for their readers, allowing them to explore other parts of the world, new ideas, concepts and cultures.”
Prof Ghafoor Ahmed said, “Books are a great source for an individual’s inner peace. They help us understand the true meaning of our existence.” Former chief justice Saeeduzaman Siddiqui appreciated students’ efforts.
With more than 50 stalls, the fair presents a huge variety of books on topics related to science, arts and commerce. Books are being sold at discounted prices in order to make them more affordable for students.
