Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah officially inaugurated on Monday the 195th annual Urs of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast in Daraza Sharif, Khairpur. The CM laid wreath on the mazar and offered fateha. The three-day Urs celebrations comprise Adabi conference, Mehfil-e-Samaa, Sufi songs and others. A large number of devotees from across the globe reached Daraza Sharif to pay homage to the poet of seven languages. Speaking about the teachings of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and Sachal Sarmast, the CM said their teachings provide a solution to today’s problems. We could easily overcome intolerance, terrorism and other problems by adhering to the teachings of the Sufi saints.
