Seized: Smuggling attempt foiled in Hangu

HANGU: A smuggling attempt was foiled in Mamokhor, Hangu. The accused man, Zahid, was attempting to smuggle a non-custom paid car. A levies person, Zubair Hassan, was also arrested along with the accused. While speaking to The Express Tribune, Hangu DPO Shah Nazar Khan said the car was flagged down at a checkpost in Mamokhor. “The vehicle verification system incharge, Khalid made the attempt unsuccessful,” he said. Police also seized one Kalashnikov, 30 bullets, one magazine and 50 grammes hashish from the accused. The car was going from Kurram Agency to Hangu. Both the arrested persons were shifted to Doaba police station and FIRs were also registered against them.
