Sarhad Development Authority: Chief suspected of keeping illegal assets

The commission uncovered details about the illegal assets

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission has filed a corruption reference against the chairperson of Sarhad Development Authority (SDA) for accumulating illegal assets beyond its known sources of income, which are worth Rs50million. The reference was filed by Special Prosecutor Syed Farooq Shah at the court of Administrative Judge Hayat Ali Shah, and has been fixed for initial hearing. The commission started the enquiry after receiving information about SDA Chairperson Sajid Jadoon who is suspected to have accumulated illegal assets that fall far beyond his known source of income. The commission uncovered details about the illegal assets, which include plots in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Peshawar, worth up to millions of rupees. The assets including bank accounts have been filed along with references at the Ehtesab Commission.
