Joint venture: Key ministries ink framework  

Tanveer also said that the present government is fully committed to take new initiatives in the right direction

ISLAMABAD: A framework has been signed by the science and technology ministry and the defence production ministry on Thursday. According to the framework, the two ministries shall have extensive meetings of relevant teams which shall target areas of mutual interests which include marketing, promotion, sale/purchase of the jointly developed products, technologies or any other avenues of interest. Minister for Science and Technology (S&T) Rana Tanveer said, “This is to ensure a continuous and efficient working relationship between the two ministries.” As per the framework, teams are bound to submit a monthly progress report to their respective ministries and focal persons from the ministries will exchange those reports. Tanveer also emphasised that all the senior representatives from both the Ministries will avail maximum from this opportunity. He also said that the present government is fully committed to take new initiatives in the right direction.
