SUKKUR: Counter-terrorism department Karachi AIG Sanaullah Abbasi doubts that encounter in Thari Mir Wah, in which three suspects were injured on Monday, was not genuine.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Abbasi said that "half-fry" and "full-fry" are inhumane and extrajudicial acts.

According to the police, Thari Mir Wah police were on routine patrol on Monday night when three suspects opened fire at them. The police retaliated and the suspects, Aslam Gopang, Mukhtiar Gopang and Khaliq Dino Gopang, were injured.

Sindh IG and home minister had directed Abbasi to investigate the incident, who reached Khairpur on Wednesday, to record statements of the police officials, besides taking statements of the three accused. Abbasi further constituted an inquiry team comprising Thari Mir Wah SP Abdullah Ahmed and Khairpur ASP Imran Ahmed.
