Two women swindlers among 14 outlaws arrested

Citizens cautioned to beware of defrauders.

ISLAMABAD: The city police on Sunday arrested 14 people including two women for their involvement in carjacking, street crimes, defrauding and immoral activities.

The two women swindlers, Ghulaman Bibi and Naseebo Bibi, were arrested by the Bhara Kahu police for allegedly enticing people and looting cash and jewellery. According to the police, the women entered the house of Hafiz Saeed Akhtar, a resident of Bhara Kahu, and claimed to double the resident’s cash or gold. On their suspected activities, Akhtar called the police who arrested the women swindlers. Police have warned citizens to beware of such defrauders.

Meanwhile, Margalla Police arrested a motorcycle lifter identified as Amjad Ali from sector G-9/2 and recovered a stolen motorbike (ICT, NQ-398) from his possession. Three other street criminals identified as Ramzan, Abdul Rehman and Sajjad Ahmed were also arrested for allegedly snatching mobile phones from locals.

While Arb Hussain from Thula Syedan was arrested from Golra area after police seized ten bottles of liquor from his possession.

The anti car-lifting cell impounded a Toyota Corolla car (License No: B-2718, Nowshera) when its documents were found bogus after verification from the Excise and Taxation Office. According to police records, the car was reported stolen from Clifton area in Karachi.

The Tarnol police recovered a 30-bore pistol from Tauqeer Ali while Sabzi Mandi police arrested Abdul Ghaffar for possessing 255 grams of hashish.

Koral police station arrested four suspects including two women for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.
