Style-star Sarah Tabani talks to us about her personal style, the colours she is naturally drawn to, and her favourite trend for the summer

Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage

How would you describe your body type?

At 5ft 7”, I would say I’m pretty much straight up and down.

Has your body type changed over the last five years?

I inevitably put on weight in college. Since then I have managed to lose the extra pounds by eating clean and working out.

How has your style changed over the years?

My style has definitely evolved over the years. I have a better understanding of what suits my frame. I’m drawn to neutral colours and comfort is always key.

In your opinion what is your most troublesome area?

My arms and stomach!

How do you dress your body according to your body type?

Tailored silhouettes work best for me. I tend to highlight my legs and cover my upper body. Additionally, I avoid wearing busy prints that distract the eye and draw attention to troublesome areas.

What silhouettes suit your body the most?

It’s important to dress according to your body shape. Fitted bottoms and tailored tops suit me best. Also, I prefer silhouettes, which create the illusion of length — such as solid colours.

What is your favourite trend for the summer?

My favourite trend for the summer is white on white.

What is the one piece of clothing that you shy away from wearing and why?

Even though off-shoulder tops are trending, I avoid wearing them. They make me look wider!
