NICL scam: FIA raids for Amin Qasim Dada

KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is hunting for Amin Qasim Dada, the prime suspect in the Rs6 billion financial National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam, confirmed FIA Sindh Director Moazzam Jah to The Express Tribune on Saturday.

FIA Karachi and Lahore raided Dada’s residence and that of his sister in Clifton and his office in Khayaban-i-Ittehad.

There were unconfirmed reports Dada had left the country even though his name was on the Exit Control List.

Director Jah said, however, that according to immigration records, he has not travelled from the country and there was the possibility he is still in the city.

Some more accused people have been nominated in the case but as they had escaped from the country the FIA has requested red warrants for them.

Zazi | 13 years ago | Reply FIA is equivalent to Beverly Hills Cops of Charlie Chaplin movies. They are chasing all over town for the culprit, except like Chaplin, the culprit is either in front of them or gives them a slip at each turn. Imagine the police cruisers with sirens wailing and cops jumping around the streets of Defence Society. One would not need to see any police TV program. Just lean out of your window and see the spectacle playing live.
