Research: First meeting of USAID centre 

Vice Chancellor Talat Naseer Pasha and 10 members of the advisory board attended the meeting

The first meeting of an advisory board for the USAID-supported Centre for Applied Policy Research in Livestock (CAPRIL) was held at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) on Saturday to review progress at the centre. A statement said the meeting also deliberated over the centre’s future course of action. Vice Chancellor Talat Naseer Pasha and 10 members of the advisory board attended the meeting. The participants acknowledged research and policy projects undertaken by the centre. Pasha said, “Since its establishment, the centre has introduced key initiatives to provide information on emerging business trends and challenges faced by the government departments concerned.” He said Saturday’s meeting would help ensure implementation of the centre’s activities.
