KARACHI: A district and sessions court sentenced a Bangladeshi national, Nizamuddin, to three years in jail for illegally staying in the country and obtaining a fake national ID card. Also imposing a Rs25,000 fine on Nizamuddin, the judge ordered his deportation from the country after serving the sentence. The police alleged that the accused had come to the Karachi in 2013 and later managed to obtain a fake CNIC, claiming to be a Pakistani national. The police charged him with over-staying illegally and obtaining a fake CNIC to claim to be a Pakistani citizen.
