Actor, comedian Muhammad Javed suffers brain hemorrhage
Comedian, stage performer was unwell for the past three days
LAHORE:
Comedian Muhammad Javed, famously known as Javed Kodu, suffered brain hemorrhage on Tuesday and was rushed to the hospital.
Talking to The Express Tribune, his brother Ikhlaq Ahmad said Javed had suffered from a heart attack last year and his health had deteriorated over the past 12 months. “He had told me that he couldn’t sleep for the past three days.”
Ahmad said Javed was living with his wife and three children in a rented house in Iqbal Town and later moved to his father’s house in Bhagwan Pura. “He was only working in stage plays to fund his treatment,” Ahmad added. The actor’s brother said his 24-year-old son is also out of work. “Their financial condition is terrible. This is why he got sick in the first place.”
Dilip Kumar discharged from hospital
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also issued instructions with regards to his treatment.
Javed rose to fame after performing in both stage plays and TV serials and sitcoms. He has also worked in as many as 150 Urdu and Punjabi films. His performances in plays such as Aashiyana are still remembered today.
