SWABI: At least five people died in separate incidents in Swabi on Tuesday.

In the first incident, a man was killed in Swabi on Tuesday. Separately, four members of a family, who were wounded in a gas cylinder blast last week, succumbed to their injuries.

Shot dead

A police official told The Express Tribune Zahir Shah was killed in Utla village of Gadoon Amazai.

As per the official, Nasib Khan, the deceased’s brother, said the incident was triggered by a long-standing family dispute.

“Nasib told us Zahir was shot dead while he was on his way home,” the official said.

Further investigation into the incident is under way.

Cylinder blast

Separately, four people who were critically injured in a gas cylinder explosion in Marghuz village last week, passed away on Tuesday. On May 18, at least eight members of a family were injured in the gas cylinder blast in Marghuz village. Their house was also damaged. The incident occurred during a wedding ceremony at Sher Ghulam’s house.

Ghulam’s three sons, two daughters, and two nephews were injured. His wife was also wounded. The victims had suffered up to 80% burn injuries

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has vowed to support the family and distributed cheques of Rs300,000 among each member.
