Toy warehouse fire extinguished

RAWALPINDI:

A fire broke out in a toy warehouse on Railway Workshop Road in Rawalpindi. Rescue 1122 brought the fire under control after a firefighting operation and began the cooling process.

According to the authorities, a fire was reported in a toy warehouse on the fourth floor of a five-storey plaza on Railway Workshop Road. At least 30 rescuers and firefighters of Rescue 1122 reached the spot with 11 fire and emergency vehicles and controlled the fire and prevented it from spreading.

Two floors of the building were affected by the fire, but no casualties were reported. After the fire was brought under control, the Rescue 1122 staff initiated the cooling process. Rawalpindi Rescue 1122 DEO Sibghatullah said according to initial reports the fire was a result of a short circuit.
