Legal education: Law colleges’ board of governors meet

He appreciated the role of Dr Shah in the betterment of law colleges

SUKKUR: The 22nd meeting of the Board of Governors for Law Colleges, which is affiliated with Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU), Khairpur, was chaired on Monday by vice-chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah. Sindh High Court Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto said that it is high time for legal education to be promoted with the spirit of good quality education because it will strengthen the legal fraternity and also produce good lawyers and judges.  He appreciated the role of Dr Shah in the betterment of law colleges. The VC said that they are committed to imparting good quality legal education because it will bring betterment in society regarding law awareness and speedy justice. She said it would also promote better relations between the bar and bench. It was decided that new LLM classes at various law colleges will be started after meeting the criteria of the Pakistan Bar Council and guidelines of Higher Education Commission.
