Responding to various supplementary questions during question- hour, she said that all diagnostic facilities would be made available at the hospital. She said that
Marriyum said that emergency of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences was also being expending besides setting up another emergency unit at the hospital.
She said that homework has also been completed to upgrade all basic health care units in rural areas of Islamabad to reduce workload on PIMS and Polyclinic.
She said that another new hospital was also being set up in the federal capital.
Marriyum said that human resources mapping has also been completed and all vacant vacancies at PIMS would be filled soon.
She said that all medicines in the emergency of PIMS were available free of cost.
To a question, she said that a proposal was under consideration to construct Chirah Dam to supply water to Islamabad and Rawalpindi. She said that the project would be executed by the Punjab government while Capital Development Agency would only share cost. She said P-1 of the project has already been approved and the provincial government has also released funds for its first phase.
