Cricket greats hail 'unreal' Kohli after stunning IPL performance

27-year-old became first player in tournament's history to score four hundreds and 800 runs in single season

Indian batting supremo Virat Kohli, who became the first player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to score four hundreds and 800 runs in a single season yesterday, has earned praise from former and current players

Gujrat Lions opener and Australian international Aaron Finch tweeted that the 27-year-old is "embarrassing" other international batsmen with his current batting form.

Kohli is in such a breathtaking form that former England batsman Mark Butcher ended up asking his national team mate Alex Tudor if he hadย an idea what kind of 'curry' the RCB opener is.




And Alex Tudor could not believe he missed another special innings from a very special player.

His national team mate Ravichanran Ashwin also called the right hander "unreal" after yet another ton in the tournament.




West Indian World T20 winning captain Darren Sammy ended up feeling bad for the Kookaburra ball for the punishment it received from the bat of Virat Kohli.



Former New Zealand all-round Scott Styrisย called the batsman's performance the "greatest batting achievement" he has ever witnessed.



Another Indian international and Kolkata Knight Riders wicketkeeper - batsman Robin Uthappa said in a tweet that the RCB openerย is operating on another realm.



The Sunrises Hyderabad captain David Warner expressed that Kohli is in such a good form, that he is seeing the cricket ball as a 'balloon'.



Former West Indian fast-bowler and cricket commentator Ian Bishop believes the 27-year-old is not normal after showing the kind of consistency which was never been witnessedย in the modern era before.



Other former greats also showered praise of the star performer, termingย him a genius and a modern great.
