Seo Ye ji denies dating rumours, cuts ties with Kim Soo hyun and Gold Medalist amid Kim Sae ron scandal

Seo Ye ji addresses ongoing dating rumours with Kim Soo hyun, denying the claims and expressing frustration.

Actress Seo Ye ji has addressed ongoing rumours linking her romantically to actor Kim Soo hyun, directly denying any connection between herself, Kim Soo-hyun, and his cousin, director Lee Robe. 

In a post on her official fan cafe on March 13, 2025, Seo Ye ji expressed frustration at the need to clarify the situation once again. She shared her exhaustion, stating that while she felt overwhelmed by the constant speculation, she was compelled to speak out after a comment on her social media suggested she had cheated during Kim Soo-hyun’s relationship management.

My dearest yeyes,

I’m only human… So this has been overwhelming, stressful… and I’m so sick and tired of it all. It saddens me and suffocates me… I’ve been holding back and back… but I ended up responding to this comment. I deleted it, though.

I wish people would… please… stop. I am in no way affiliated with him and his cousin. I don’t even know why I have to explain myself… but I’m just extra frustrated tonight… Good night, yeyes.

The rumours had initially surfaced in 2021 when Seo Ye ji and Kim Soo hyun worked together on the drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. Speculation intensified after claims of a love triangle involving Seo Yea-ji, Kim Soo-hyun, and director Lee Robe were made public.

Although these claims were never confirmed, they resurfaced recently following other scandals, particularly the tragic passing of actress Kim Sae ron. Despite the renewed attention on these rumours, Seo Ye ji made it clear that she has no relationship with either Kim Soo-hyun or his cousin, and expressed frustration over the ongoing need to clarify her position.

In the past, Seo Yea-ji was also embroiled in a gaslighting controversy and subsequently parted ways with Gold Medalist, the agency representing both her and Kim Soo-hyun. 

Following her statement, Seo Yea-ji has distanced herself from the agency, cutting ties amid the scandal. The actress’s latest remarks come in response to relentless online speculation and the continuous intrusion into her personal life.
