Pakistani app developers making a mark

Competition in the global market is immense but Pakistani companies are managing to hold their share

ISLAMABAD: The introduction of high speed broadband in the country is showing positive results as app exports are flourishing and touching the $10 million mark on a monthly basis during the year, said the CEO of a IT company. “Local developers in Pakistan are skillful and talented enough to meet global requirements when it comes to designing mobile applications for foreign clients,” said the official.

As per statistics from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Pakistani app developers are not only designing mobile apps for local market but they are also developing apps for exporting, contributing precious foreign exchange to the national kitty.

“The competition in the global market is immense but Pakistani companies are managing to hold their share through expertise and performance. This trend needs to be pushed up since business of foreign clients is attractive in terms of values and knowledge acquisition,” added the SI Global Solutions CEO.

Revenge | 8 years ago | Reply @HHK The real IT world lies in the west and not in middle east. I've seen most Pakistanis in west working on lower level jobs. The proof is there for all to see. Indian IT industry is not only thriving but is a force to reckon with unlike yours which is nothing but peanuts. I've seen Indians in US, UK, AUS working on top most while PAKs struggle to retain their jobs. Quality is what India produces in IT and world knows that, yours is just at nursery level. Check facts before commenting.

Like MK anybody can throw any unfounded comments and the newspapers of ours do not control ongoing dirty compaign like this. They seem to be paid thugs and required to be controlled.

MK | 8 years ago | Reply Actually I work in the Industry and my companies are outsourcing tech and app development to other markets because our developers are not up to the mark, have terrible work ethic and want to charge very high hourly rates, Indian develelopers on the other had will do a similar task at half the price and in half the time, and probably do it better
