The committee consists of the Lahore division commissioner, the additional home secretary and an additional inspector general of the police. ETPB Chairman Siddiqul Farooq told The Tribune that he committee would visit Nankana Sahib on Monday (today) and submit a report on the matter to the chief minister.
Earlier on Saturday, six police officials, including two inspectors, and two ETPB guards were injured in a clash over an operation to recover eight-kanal trust land from illegal occupants. ETPB Chairperson Farooq had said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA Zulqarnain Dogar was patronizing the occupants. The MPA had denied the allegation.
