Weather forecast: High temperatures, some rain

LAHORE: Hot and dry weather is expected in plains of the country on Friday. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in upper Punjab on Saturday. A Met Office spokesman said Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Sahiwal and Faisalabad may receive showers while light rain and windstorms were expected in Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan. He said a westerly wave was affecting upper and central parts of the country and was likely to persist during next few days. He said the maximum temperature recorded on Thursday was 34 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
