PESHAWAR: An employee of a private school was critically injured when a school van driver accidentally fired his weapon, police told the media after the incident on Saturday. “At first, we thought it was an act of terror. Later, the guard told us he left his gun near the security post and asked the driver to look after the gate” a police officer said. “The driver tried to load the gun and it went off, hitting a woman who was passing through the line of fire.” The school administration rushed the woman to the hospital for treatment. Police arrested the driver and security guard and started an investigation.
