Carrying banners and placards, the protesters marched to Narwala Chowk where they staged a sit-in. They also blocked the road for traffic for several hours. Talking to newsmen, Muhammad Mazhar, one of the protestors, said, “We paid full fee and other dues to the college as well as the BISE but the board has not issued our roll number slips.” “The exams will start on Saturday (today). We cannot take the exams because we do not have our roll number slips.” “We have visited the college as well as the BISE office several times to get the roll number slips but in vain,” said Muhammad Akram, another protestor.
“The college told us that the BISE had not issued our roll number slips. BISE told us that the college owed money to the education board,” another protestor Anas Ali said. “We paid full fee and all dues of the college as well as the education board. We are suffering because of a dispute between the college administration and the BISE,” he said.
