Five people, including four children, were taken to the Dera Ghazi Khan Teaching Hospital with symptoms of food poisoning on Wednesday after they ate a vermicelli dish cooked at home.
Seven-year- old Saifur Rehman, six-year-old Bushra, five-year-old Laraib, four-year-old Abdul Basit and their mother Shehnaz Bibi fell violently sick after eating the dessert. They called up Rescue-1122 who took them to the hospital. Medical Superintendent Moosa Kaleem told The Express Tribune that the condition of the patients was stable. He said that they were discharged after being treated for food poisoning.
