LAHORE:

Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Chief Coordinator Makhdoom Adeelur Rehman said on Friday that government was making all out efforts to empower the country’s youth.

This included the promotion of scientific and research-based education.

Speaking to APP, he said the government was working on promotion of uniform standards across public, private and seminary education.

Makhdoom said that under the Youth Skills Development Programme the government was providing research-based and technical training to the youth.

This would prepare them for employment in domestic as well as international industry. He said a knowledge-based economy was the only path to national prosperity.
