Health matters: Minister warns staff against absenteeism

The minister directed authorities to take steps for the continuous provision of electricity in hospitals

Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai has said stern action will be taken against doctors and paramedics who are found absent from duty.


He added negligence will not be tolerated at any cost. He expressed these views during his visit to Civil Hospital in Mattani and other medical institutes, stated a press release issued by the health department on Thursday.


Minister for Public Health Engineering Shah Farman and others accompanied Tarakai. On the occasion, Tarakai said the K-P government had raised the salaries of doctors, paramedics and nurses, therefore, they should perform their duties efficiently. The minister directed authorities to take steps for the continuous provision of electricity in hospitals. Meanwhile, a four-member committee was formed which would compile reports on problems being faced by the hospital doctors and staff.
