Pat on the back: Six ‘robbers’ arrested

The police have filed a case against the suspects

SAHIWAL: Police arrested six people suspected of committing robbery belonging to the Aaso Tinda gang on Thursday. DPO Baqir Raza said they had formed a team under Yousafwala SHO Mehmoodul Hassan to catch the culprits. He said the cops had succeeded in arresting Asif aka Aaso Tinda, the ringleader, and five members Fida Hussain, Ashfaq, Javed, Tariq and Younas. He said the police had seized 18 stolen mobile phones and cash from them. He said during interrogation, the robbers had confessed to their crimes. Separately, three robbers waylaid a man and held him at gunpoint. They took away his phone and cash. Police said Ahmad, a resident of Ramay Town, was on his way home on a bike when three men stopped him at the TTC College Ground. The police have filed a case against the suspects.
