At least three people were killed in a landmine blast in Malguzar area of Jaffarabad district on Wednesday.

According to the Jaffarabad police, some farm workers were going from Jaffarabad to Dera Bugti on a tractor when it hit a landmine near Malguzar.  The explosion destroyed the tractor and killed three persons including a 10 year old boy.

Police and the local people helped shift the deceased to the district headquarters hospital Jaffarabad where they were identified as 10-year-old Dhangla Bugti, Bilo Huthkhani Bugti and Mir Mahrdhar Bugti. “They were labourers and were on way to cut fodder in Dera Bugti,” a police official said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack till the report was filed.

Last month, a 12 year old shepherd boy was killed when he inadvertently stepped on a landmine, while tending his flock in a field in Dera Bugti.
