Taking precautions: Ban imposed on entry of unwanted people at exam halls

PESHAWAR: The district administration has imposed a ban on the entry of unwanted people at examination halls during FA and FSc examinations that will be conducted over the next 30 days.

According to a notification issued on Friday, the ban has been imposed to prevent the use of unfair means during exams.

As per another notification, the administration also imposed Section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). In addition, a ban has been imposed for 30 days on the display of arms and the use tinted windows in vehicles. Cars that have not been registered and carry fake licence plates will not be allowed on the roads.

Section 144 entails the power to issue orders in urgent cases of nuisance or apprehended danger.

According to the notification, anyone caught violating the ban shall be dealt with under Section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code, which deals with disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant.
