Law And Order: Two suspects killed ‘in shootout’

Police said that a CIA team had received information about the suspects’ presence in a hideout in the Hanjarwal area

LAHORE: Two robbery suspects were killed in what the CIA Saddar police said was a shootout on Sunday night. Police said that a CIA team had received information about the suspects’ presence in a hideout in the Hanjarwal area. They said that a raid was carried out at the hideout on Sunday night. When the suspects saw the police party they opened fire at them. The police team responded, killing the two suspects on the spot. The deceased were later identified as Talib, a resident of Kachi Kothi on Raiwnd Road, and Sadaqat Ali, a resident of a neighbourhood on Bund Road. Police said they were wanted to 20 cases.
