Sindh health minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has ordered issuing final show-cause notices to 10 doctors for their continuous absence from duty.
If the doctors fail to comply with the orders, they will be removed from their services. Earlier, 15 long absent doctors of BPS-17 were called upon for personal hearing by the health department. However, 10 doctors failed to appear.
The doctors who have been sent notices include, Dr Pardeep Kumar, Dr Jai Deep, Dr Muhammad Ubaid, Dr Abdul Moeed Pirzada, Dr Ajeet Kumar Oad, Dr Aisha Arain, Dr Muhammad Atif, Dr Rashida Inam, Dr Fareeha Aleem and Dr Azra Leghari.
The health minister has also warned all ghost employees of health department to join their duties without further delay. Earlier, 14 doctors had been sent final show-cause notices on April 12 for failing to comply with the orders.
